Capsule: The universe is a dangerous place, which is why most CEC ships have at least one medium laser cannon mounted on them, typically in a full-range turret bubble. While the basic design is almost a century old, minor upgrades have been done to this system that make them more efficient and easier to maintain. Enough to keep pirates off the ship, hopefully, but not too much that there are legal entanglements even under the strict Empire. Of course, like almost all CEC designs, there is room for modification, which everyone does.
AG-1G Twin Medium Laser Cannons
Model: CEC AG-1G Twin Medium Laser Cannon Mount (Fire-Linked)
Affiliation: All
Era: 25-years before The Clone Wars
Type: Twin medium laser cannons
Scale: Starfighter
Skill: Starship gunnery: Laser Cannon
Weight: 6 tons
Cost: 4,000 credits (5,000 credits as a gunner-position turret if one is not already installed)

Fire Control: 3D (1D if locked forward and fired by the pilot or co-pilot)
Damage: 5D
Capsule: While the AG-2G Quad-Laser Cannon mount gets all the fame, the brother to that system is far more accepted in the more civilized universe, with only the strictest and most rules-abiding customs officer inspecting the permits. The vast majority of the time, customs will just ask if you have a permit, let you flash it by them, and be done with it. Having a huge range of movement provides the system a superior ability to track and target enemy vessels, which provides excellent fire control for a civilian system. Available straight from the factory as an upgrade to the typical single-cannon mount, and as an aftermarket upgrade. Note that the laser cannons actually used are identical to the ones in the much older AF-1A series, which means that the same modifications available to them, are available just as easily to these.
