Mixed media portrait of my GrandparentsThese two portrait drawings where a part of my large family portrait project that i was working on for 2 years .
All together i did 9 equally large drawings of all of my family members. These two you see here are the parents of my father.
Right now they all are framed in , and awaiting for an exhibition in the beginning of 2015 .

I used all kinds of pencil/ chalk products from Derwent to complete this series .

So glad to see old school art rather than everything being computerized.
I grew up with art, my dad was a technical illustrator, painter and renderer along the likes of Norman Rockwell. Your works will be in large demand as the newer generations are into fractals and photo manipulations.

It kind of looks like the hair migrated from his head to his chin... Guess that's what happens when you get a hair cut while growing out your beard...
