This is a drawing of my fav singer Christina Aguilera. The reference is taken from the photoshoot in an issue of the Marie Claire's (howeva you spell it..) magazine. I used the reference for a support study drawing for my project so this is one of my prep works.I 'shaded' th whole drawing with the cross-hatching technique, pretty sketchy. This is a small drawing.

I do use cross-sketching in shading pictures, though I must say that this is an awesome effort (I like to go back and do some revision of cross-hatch techniques... over-reliance on image editors ain't good for me lolz)

Thanks manx! yea for a change is good. I'm just experimenting with different ways of creating shading here, cross hatching gives a more interesting feel if merged with other basic forms of shadings. I'd love to see some of your cross-hatching stuffs ha ^^

yes it's done around 2 hours, some study of cross-hatching. the reference was to hard to ignore to draw haha. thank you!
