It can result in his form destabilizing. While his spectral body is forming itself, his emotions play heavily onto how his energy responds. The more unstable he is emotionally, the more unstable his energy becomes and the ectoplasm becomes unable to bond with the instable energy and thus the body begins to dissapate. o-o

Depends on the strength of the tranquilizer, considering that their own venom has similar properties, it would probably take a higher dose. Then again I think most spirits require a modified or higher dose tranq for it to even work. .__.
