Fur Description: Ebonycloud is a rather strange individual. Rather than resemble either of her parents she takes on the appearance of her father "Sootfall" and his parents. Her cream colored fur leads her to resemble her grandmother "Creampelt" while her turquois blue/green eyes are drawn directly from her father himself. The dark ash-grey spots on her pelt however, almost resemble exactly what Sootfall's pelt patterns are, and give her the name of "Ebony".

Kithood

Ebonykit and Jetkit were born in lakeclan to Sootfall and Nightspirit. The two young kits' parents were careful to keep an eye on their two children during their first six moons, wary that the peace that had came after the end of the dark age would soon come to an end.

While the two parents were very protective of their children they still gave Ebonykit and Jetkit the space to discover the world around them, make friends and develop a personality of their own. While Jetkit was more obedient and easily influences by those around him, Ebonykit was strong willed and believed in independance. Often the young shecat would find herself dragging her brother away from trouble as the eager Jetkit was more than willing to get into life threatening situations just to earn the friendship and respect of the other kits in the nursery. These acts of intervention were often praised by both Sootfall and Nightspirit, much to Jetkit's discontent.

It was at the age of three moons that Ebonykit was introduced to the children of Patchpelt, a good friend of Nightspirit's: Heronpaw and Reedpaw. Two young made apprentices. While Heronpaw was often dragged off to recieve lectures from her mentor, ill and unable to give proper training yet, Reedpaw had more free time to spare- free time that he soon began to spend with little Ebonykit. The tom had quickly caught on to the kit's ways and worked to encourage her, helping to explain the way a clan worked and why some cats did what they did. Alas, while Ebonykit would profit from this time learning from the apprentice this would bring her to spend less time working to help Jetkit- leaving him to soon get himself pulled into a tough young cat clique.

Apprentice
Ebonypaw was overjoyed to be finally made an apprentice. Not only could she now train alongside of Reedpaw but now she could also put what she had learned as a kit to use- now more able to get away with speaking to older apprentices who were more willing to listen to a cat of same rank than a mere kit.

Helping the others to find their independance was something Ebonypaw truly enjoyed. It was hard, and many times she failed, but when she succeeded the payoff was great. Alas the apprentice quickly found herself challenged by none other than her mentor Sandclaw.

Sandclaw was none other than Lightningstar's old apprentice, trained to obey his mentor even now. As Ebonypaw soon learned Sandclaw was also none other than Reedpaw's older brother. The mentor would try to push his apprentice to follow him, trying to relive his experience as an apprentice by attempting to get Ebonypaw to go do dares and challenges with him to prove themselves to the clan.

After a few clashes the young she-cat had no other choice but to seek information from Reedpaw himself, the older apprentice was quickly forced to explain to his friend that as a young warrior Lightningstar had been a highly competitive cat, driven to prove himself he had dragged Sandclaw in along with him. But while Lightningstar had grown out of that nature as he took charge of his clan, Sandclaw had remained the same. Eager to prove himself.

Having her own mentor as a cat influenced by others ways was hard enough. But it didnt stop Ebonypaw from still trying her hardest to help the tom develop. Little did she know that she wasnt the only cat working to make Sandclaw a better cat, "Ternwing" a Shallowclan queen who had given birth to the tom's two kits did most of the progress. And it wasnt until a hopeful Ebonypaw decided to go out hunting that she caught sight of the two meeting at the border one day. Despite the knowledge that her mentor was breaking the warrior code the young apprentice said nothing- slowly easing off on the tom as she turned her attention back to socializing with the other apprentices.

Reedpaw, now Reedpelt still dropped by from the time to hear about Ebonypaw's progress with his brother. After hearing that the apprentice had decided to turn her attention to those of her own rank the warrior made the bold decision to introduce her to Coalpaw.

Coalpaw was a troublesome and reckless cat despite nearing the end of his apprentice-hood. The tom had developed a rebellion way of life as a way to get back to his parents for how they treated his brother as a kit. While she could understand his reasoning, Ebonypaw was quick to put a paw down. Unwilling to let him loose himself completely to his reckless and rebellious ways she began to interfere in his acts. The two would often hang out, and as time went by Ebonypaw was able to help the tom let go of the need to deal with his parents. He was almost a warrior now, they shouldn't have any control over his life.

Warrior-hood

Both Coalpaw and Ebonypaw were able to receive their warrior names after surviving a League ambush on their patrol and getting to camp in time to alert the clan so that they could come to the others rescue. Coalpaw was given the name of Coalblaze and Ebonypaw was Ebonycloud, Jetpaw was given the name of Jetstreak.

It seemed as if Ebonycloud's time with Coalblaze had brought true progress on the tom's part. Often the tom's past would test him as he was forced to face his actions and deal with the reputation he had gotten as an apprentice. But the true challenges awaiting him were only just coming, and had Ebony not be there the entire time chances are the tom would have turned out as a lost cause.

Everything started when Coalblaze's brother Embersplash witnessed the very cat he loved "Angledwing" choose to officially become mates with another warrior known as Wormstorm. n reaction to this Embersplash was heartbroken, committing suicide.

The loss of his brother left Coalblaze torn, almost breaking out into fits of anger after discovering that his mother "Lightbelly" showed no care over the loss of her son. Ebonycloud would often take him out of camp during this time, showing him the sky and soeaking about how Embersplash lived with Starclan now, and would watch over them from there.

This seemed to work on Coalblaze. Almost too much. And when what seemed to be Starclan revenge as Wormstorm was found guilty of being part of the rogue group, and under Lightningstar's rule he was sentenced to death, Ebonycloud almost suspected that the tom had approached his leader about the subject. But she was wrong.

Embersplash's and then Wormstorm's deaths drove Angledwing mad to the point of jumping into a fox den. Seeing life shattered around him disgusted Coalblaze, pushing him to seek comfort in Ebonycloud's present when she expected him to distance himself from the clan. It was a good thing the two stuck together when they did, as it would be what would save their lives in the end.

During the massacre Ebonycloud was forced help Coalblaze to fight off his own mother as the queen attacked him. Present at the gathering Lightbelly had easily been swayed to the League's side after Ashscar revealed himself to have been spying on the clan since the beginning. The two cats did not bother to kill the she-cat, prefering to chase her away from the island where...tired from fighting she drowned in the lake.

Following the massacre Lakeclan was forced to deal with many troubles that came its way. While the problems did concern Coalblaze, the tom prefered to steer clear from the issues that arose from Angledwing's presence and watch everything go down. Ebonycloud however, was forced to struggle with the discovery that Sootfall, Sandclaw and Reedpelt had died during the massacre- and as if she was being further punished Jetstreak had made the decision to join in with Angledwing's crew of rebellious cats. The tom had been easily swayed after loosing his friends during the massacre, and began to cause trouble for the clan by picking fights with cats who had any connection to the League- forcing Ebonycloud to step between them.

When it seemed that Jetstreak was a hopeless case it was revealed that Angledwing was none other than a League ally herself. The revelation left her brother broken, finally bringing him to realize that by letting himself be swayed by others he was opening himself to being manipulated by the very cats he hated. It didnt take much for Ebonycloud and Coalblaze to bring him to reality.

With most of their troubles out of their way both Coalblaze and Ebonycloud were finally given the chance to dwell on their relationships. The two cats had been close but they never had bothered to think about their future. Given what had gone down both agreed that Lakeclan was unfit to harbor kits until peace returned and the League was dealt with. The two warriors were glad to have waited as not even four moons after things calmed down the League declared war and attacked.

Coalblaze and Ebonycloud were quick to fall back as the League invaded their camp, with the nursery taken care of the two cats fled to Stoneclan territory. They had done so just in time as a fire swept across Streamclan and Lakeclan territory. As it died down however, the two mates found themselves fighting new league hordes as Stoneclan was ambushed- the fighting only ending at the death of Thornheart himself.

Returning to their clan Coalblaze and Ebonycloud were greeted by the news that Shimmerstar was dead, replaced by her deputy and now leader Scorchstar. As Ebonycloud began to look around she was greeted by the news that Nightspirit was dead and Jetstreak had gone missing. Despite many losses Lakeclan recovered with a new deputy from outside "Boulderthroat" ruling by Scorchstar's side. No matter how much doubt he had in their situation Coalblaze allowed Ebonycloud's optimism to lead him. The two are now waiting to assess their clan's situation before deciding whether to go further in their relationship.
