Just painting this one piece stresses me out about how they can possibly animate all of it...soooooo much detail in that 3D maneuver gear and their outfits!It's such a gorgeous show, I think Mikasa is my favourite<3 And Annie before she peaced (I haven't read the manga so no spoilers please!)

i had a lot of problems with mikasa as a character at first. she was talked up by the rest of the cast, almost emotionless, incredibly skilled and powerful, heck she was at THE TOP OF HER CLASS for peats sake. but as the series went on and she slowly got more focus on her negative character traits, she began to stand out more to me. she became less of a force of nature and more of a person, especially with the help of her back story. either way i can say that, in spite of my earlier struggle, i now like her as a character!

I really didn't like Mikasa either. I did like her character design but she just seemed ridiculously overpowered and might as well have been a magical stoic superhero. She was the walking definition of a Mary Sue. Eventually it did show that it came at a price and she's a little quick to be aggressive and not in a good way. I really like all the negative traits she has and she's much higher on my list of favorites now.
Armin is my favorite though.
