I made this illustration a few months ago for a children's book. This sort of work is quite unfamiliar to me and not the sort of thing I usually do( I am not entirely sure how I got the job myself), but it's interesting to work on a wide range of projects and topics. With this in my portfolio I can now tell people that I have worked on everything, from children's books to drawing corpses and horror themed monsters( which is true).The nice thing about this was that I didn't have to worry about realism much and was able to stylize quite a bit more than usual. Also this particular illustration contains a giraffe in a sweater on a bicycle, so that's a thing.
I am still slowly continuing work on this project, so I will probably upload more examples from this project some time in the future.
