Drew this a while ago when I realized I had yet to draw an Aura pic for this year!! *shock/horror*

This was my first time trying to draw realistic-looking water. Boy, was that an experience... =S

You know that fadey brush thing on photoshop? (like you get the hard brush and then the soft brush and then the fadey brush) and I basically just made a whole lot of swirls with it (going in the direction of where I wanted the water to go) and then smudged it =S It's difficult to explain...
Haha, it's not that I don't draw her, just I don't upload the pics since it always turns out weird >.> /excuses

The ripples are incredible. Personally, I like the branches how they are. It creates that focus effect nicely, and they look great. The dress is so detailed. I don't even know how you do this stuff anymore. Also, Aura looks mischievous. =O

The water is amazing. I love the reflection on it, and the overall softness of the scenery around the girl. It sharply contrasts with the outline of her, and makes her stand out so much more.
Beautiful - the one piece of critique I have is that her feet are bit 'squishy' looking compared to the rest of her. Other than that, this is extraordinary. Certainly an addition to my favorites!

Indeed - to each their own. I happen to like the contrast, but others may want more focus on the branches.
I'm not very good with feet at all - so I can certainly relate to having some trouble with them.

I like the dress and the water looks awesome!
I'd think we should be able to see more of her black hair, though. But maybe I'm just placing the "camera" to high up. Also, I'd think the... sticks... DAMMIT English vocabulary, don't fail me now! The braches (That's the word!) would look more like they fit, if they had lineart as well.
And GASP at you not having drawn her before this year.

Cool. It really is gorgeous - I think it's the textures and the details that do it. I also like the glove-ish things.
I think it's because the branches are in front of Aura, that I think they could use more of an outline. Maybe not lineart like her, but less blurry-ness.
