Esmeralda was created for the Femme Thou Art Collective 's Birthstone themed auction. I was assigned the month of May whose birthstone is emerald. I had a lot of fun sort of straying from my typical genre where every female I draw has to fit into a specific fantasy category (witch, mermaid, vampire, etc...). I just drew a beautiful girl with flowing red hair in a more abstract setting.
