Gorgeous work. He looks wonderfully handsome and I love the expression. Adore his hair too, so soft and shiny looking. *pets*

Β Also, his facial hair is really well done. I have a hard time painting facial hair myself... it always ends up looking more like the man has a rash or something

Thank you so much!

I have to admit, facial hair is not my strong suit, either; if you notice in the vid, I stop working with it about halfway through because I just get tired of it LOL. I've tried using "shortcut" brushes, but anymore I just use them to establish a guideline. I end up drawing each hair by hand using my usual round brush.

Wow. First off, he's "beautiful". Second, it was fascinating to watch the greyscale base become this awesome coloured version! And it only (ONLY?!) took you 4 hours??? You work fast!Β Β

Thank you so much!

Yep, just four hours. I work so intently when I do paint, however, that I only work for about an hour to an hour-and-a-half at a time. That vid was made in four sessions.

I think I was ever to make a video of my drawing process it would last for 3 days!!!
I often pause to just stare at my drawing for a lengthy time, doing nothing at all, letting my brain (and hand) rest... Luckily there is video editing so those long nothing-happening moments could be cut off.

Anyways, this is brilliantly done. He looks so life-like.Β Β
