Cowl , they/he, a Taum who has chosen to become a magic alchemist, unlocking the secrets of the synthesis of matter, life, and energy.
They have enhanced their own lifespan and magical capabilities through the use of magic and alchemy.

About
Cowl has been around for a long time, and they have gained much knowledge about how the universe functions. They have a powerful confidence and sense of assurance that comes from their immeasurable experiences.

They are glad to explain things about the universe and demonstrate their capabilities, but when it comes to the deep and dark alchemical secrets, they can be extremely reticent about their knowledge.

Story
Cowl was once a much simpler Taum, one who awoke under a starry, aurora-lit sky, surrounded by snow. Their early life was rather uninteresting - they would just wander, poke at things, and find things to eat.

Eventually, they became curious. About magic, about life, about everything. They began to study themself and perform various experiments, some of which caused them great injury. This in turn led their curiosities towards enhancements - changing their body to become better.

They achieved many great discoveries in the isolation of their icy home, and then they set out to wander the world and universe to discover even more. They eventually built a vessel that acts as their home and workshop, and travel in that.

Throughout the ages, they have peered into secrets that may have been better off unknown. They have seen both beautiful and terrible things, but still press forward ever more.
