Idea: Weariness
Gender: they do not care
Pronouns: they/them, fae/faer

Abilities
They have two notable abilities: one is that they can induce a profound sense of weariness, a sense of exhaustion from all the tiring things that someone might've been dealing with and/or ignoring. In a sense, it's more like calling forth any suppressed/ignored exhaustion, cutting that string of constant stress. Those who are truly unfettered and free of their stresses would be unaffected.

Their second ability I like to call "rest for the weary." They will invite the weary to rest with them, to lay in the cradle of their cloak. That individual will be able to rest undisturbed for as long as they need, with Raein's cloak's inside reflecting whatever scenery is most calming to them. The powerful aspect of this ability is that all responsibilities and commitments will be put on pause - the world will shift and bend to allow that individual to rest without consequences. (Though, the more difficult it is to postpone those responsibilities, the more exhausting it is for Raein to maintain the rest.) For some, it is a single day, or just a night. For some, it is years.

After doing this for someone, Raein will inevitably become exhausted. They will often hibernate for long spans of time, up to about half the rest they gave. Sometimes they might stand still in a forest for years, or lay down by the sea to be lulled to sleep there...

Personality
Always a bit tired, and always wishing the best for everyone. They feel the exhaustion of the world, that eternal weight, and they wish to relieve some of the suffering others are subjected to. Seeing senseless violence, anger, and other destructive emotions and such make them feel incredibly weary, as well.

That said, the morals of inducing that weariness is questionable, since the realization of their exhaustion comes with the price of having to, well, become aware of it. Still, those who are able to rest with them often leave more refreshed than they have ever been, feeling lighter than they have in ages, so Raein continues to do so.

History
Raein is extremely old, having been born in the ancient ages. They witnessed plague and war and suffering, the darkness of human will and selfishness, that exhausting battle for survival and greed for more. Their early abilities were much more subtle, and they mostly sought out those with hidden weariness to give them a moment of rest and clearheadedness.

They Actualized in the presence of another - though it was after the individual fell asleep. They realized that this is what they wanted to do - the world was exhausting, but the weary should have the chance to rest. So, they Actualized and wandered off. Their memories were dampened but not forgotten - their own weariness stays.

As the ages passed, they continued wandering and helping where they could. In the age of secrecy, they often remained hidden and essentially encouraged people to rest and distantly held off those people's responsibilities while they rested. Once the age of reunion came, they began to interact more with other Edeia and build lasting connections - they did do this occasionally earlier, but they were largely a solitary wanderer before.
