I'm kind of ambivalent about how this turned out. I've wanted to draw Shiranui/100 years ago Ammy for a while now, but I did always hope for something a little bit more... epic.in any case, here you have an overly glowy Shiranui. Dying, of course.

Its a great effect on the Shiranui/Okami thingy. The blood is great, and the whole idea is just mind blowing. Great job, great art, all around, GREAT

I adore the past version of Amaterasu/Shiranui's figure! The flowing fur tentacle things were entrancing ^^

Usually I can find a specific thing or two that I particularly like about a piece, but I seem to be having trouble with that right now. There's too much that I like... the face, the light, the fire, the blood... Shiranui herself...
The "They say gods never die" part, is that from something, or did you put it there just because it fits?

It was originally what I was going to name the picture-- but I really wanted to call it "Fading White Light" after the piece from the soundtrack, "Okami White Light Majesty."
"Fading White Light" won over, so I ended up chucking "they say gods never die" into the picture 8D

I honestly think the overly glowy adds to the feel or mood sent off by the pic. Kind of like the "last burst of strength" thing people go through before they die.
It's good to begin with though.
