Description
The Nook was just a mere speck of brimming light in the night.
I just sort of scoffed at it, turning to make my way into the frost-speckled forest ahead of me.
Tonight, I wanted to exhilarate myself with a soothing adventure, away from those sniveling losers back at the Nook.

Though, this didn't exactly go as planned.

I ventured forth, my claws making slight, --but not exactly obvious--, indentions in the snow that proceeded in my way.
Though, I couldn't help but think to myself; it was all I could do when I'm by myself, wasn't it?

The chilly atmosphere gave me a faint reminder of a certain re-occurring wyngling, and his pathetic protectors.
Just who the hell does this wimp think he is, trying to seize my palace with his guardians?!
A chilling breeze brushed against my pelt, giving me a faint remembrance of a much less-regarded event.

I stared up at the sky, the "full" moon's yellow-ish tint permitting me to be idly furious.
What was it with that yellow freak and his pulsating winds? Why was he even allowed inside in the first place?!

Am I NOT supposed to put anyone in place?!

My thoughts came to a halt, interrupted by a feral growl emitting from a distance.

Wh... What was that?

My reaction didn't prove faulty, but it relieved me of my composure.

It was as if I became one of those sniveling brats.
Sniveling, I darted towards the nearest bush, the inanimate beings that encased me in the darkness had seemingly attempted to overrule me.

Upon withering in the bush, I've discovered that this was no ordinary bush-- no; this was a large ring of "undiscovered shrubbery."
Or to me, it looked quite untainted.

Upon closer speculation of the area, I discovered a sharp object being engulfed by the grassy terrain.

What could this be? I pondered, trailing around the object as if I were some sort of shark.
I finally resorted to pulling out the object-- which wasn't a struggle, considering how physically fit I was. (stop lying to yourself)

It was a mask! Or, appeared to be. There appeared to be stilt-like holes that protruded from the front of the object, so I could only assume that it was some weird, flat artifact, or something similar to a mask.

The lovely curvature certainly suited someone as elegant as me.

Assuming that it was a mask, I decided to put it on.

" .. Mnh.. "

It fit snugly; almost perfectly. The mask had wrapped around my face, coveting it like a child in a blanket.

The only thing wrong about it was..
It was stuck to my face; I wasn't exactly able to remove it with brute force.
Regaining my self confidence and dignity that was lost before I had leapt in, I squirmed out of the bush, and attempted to make my way outside of the forest.

My body was trembling, perhaps due to the long hours I've spent in a cold, dark forest.
It was quite difficult to see as well; I'd usually have to squint to actually see through the tiny slits that the mask had provided me with.

Regardless of my annoyances, I was determined to go "home".
