If you are going to sell adopts, they would get more attention if you were to put them under the category of- Deviantart Related> Devious Fun> Adoptable
That is where most adopts get posted to, and where most people watch for adopts.
Also adding the post to adopt groups help with coverage as well.

Groups usually decline a request because either it doesn't belong in the group, it was put in the wrong folder, or the title isn't right.
You might need to put AUCTION in your title if its an auction, and just make sure you submit to the right folder that suits your adopt or that says Auction if its an auction adopt.
Other then that there will always be groups that will decline for one reason or another.
