I’ve been meaning to do some fanart for Game of Thrones for awhile, and since I love Daenerys and also the scene where she steps out of the burning Dothraki hut AND ALSO ALSO DRAGONS . . . here we go. This was really cool to do because I experimented a lot more than I normally do with color since markers only let you do so much in the way of blending. Doing the scales on the dragons took FOREVER. I think I have 20 hours into this piece . . . but I think it was worth it. I’m happy with how it turned out. It doesn’t look exactly like Emilia Clarke but I don’t mind too much (which is weird for me.)
The dragons were based off the show’s dragons but modified a bit due to a lack of reference photos and personal preference (gotta use that bright green, man.)
More work to come! I’ve got a list of things I’m trying to get finished for shows in general, as well as a few commissions and that giveaway prize I still owe (I will probably be doing another one in the future! My dA is getting close to 750 watchers.) so I’m busy. Come out and see me at the Tri-State Expo this upcoming weekend! I have a bunch of free tickets to it and the Wine Show, so let me know if you want one!
