My school ( Artesis Architecture Antwerp ) selected this scale model I made last year for its ‘open campus-day’. On this day people can visit the school, to help future students with their choice of what university/school to pick.

We had to design a pavilion that had to fit in the 'Middelheim' which is a park with various artworks displayed outdoors. On the model you can see a few representations of artworks displayed around the pavilion that can be found in the actual park.

The pavilion had to contain a waiting area for tourists with a reception, a picknick area, toilets, a storage and a separate space for temporary exhibitions.

The main concept is a grid based on the pattern of the trees that are planted in the park and the cardinal directions ( with the advantage that people in the picnic area can sit in the sun without being disturbed by the wind ) .
