Description
I found this doll in a box of my old things. It's creepy. Yes she has eyes, its just the way she's lit that makes her look like she doesn't. I wrote the following story which is for the most part fantasy.

The Haunted Doll

The garage sale was tomorrow! She had just a few more boxes to go through of things she was trying to sell, most of them old toys she had as a kid. She really didn't use them anymore, and figure maby some kid might get some use out of them. Going through an old box she found a babydoll with scraggly hair and a wristband... Marcia M, 1986. Her grandmother walked up and looked at the doll and said "Oh, she's so cute! I can't believe you're selling her!" Shelly thought the doll looked rather frightening, and wanted to get rid of it, but trying to be agreeable replied "Oh Ghram, you know I can't horde all theese old treasures to myself." If Ghram liked it, maby some other old lady would pick it up. "You know, I hardly see dolls like this anymore, where did you get it from?" Shellys grandmother asked. Shelly studied the doll, as she really didn't remember it. "It must have been something I had when I was really little... someone wrote 1986 on the wristband so I must have had it a while. Ghram smiled and went into the house to get more stickers for writing down prices, while Shelly maked the doll and set it with the other toys.

Grandma came back with some lemonaid for both of them. It was just the thing for working in a hot day like this. After their short break Shelly went to the kitchen to wash out their glasses. On the way back out to the garage she noticed the doll sitting on her couch and brought it back out to the garage. "Ghram, did you want to keep this?" Shelly asked. Her grandmother looked up from a box of antique music boxes and shook her head. "No, why?" "Well," Shelly pondered "it was sitting on the couch inside, I thought maby you took it out because you wanted to keep it." Ghram laughed the bubbly laugh only grandmas can and replied with a look of knowing "I'll bet Buster did it. Thinks everything on the floor is his." The dog lifted his head at the sound of his name. Ghram set the pile of toys on a nearby card table and they went back to setting up the sale. Around came dinner time, and neither of them felt much like preparing dinner so they went out for the evening for a lovely meal before coming back home and retiring to their rooms. Shelly picked up her flashlight and read her book in the dark as she usually did, but tonight she was too tired to finish the chapter and folded the page before falling asleep.

Shelly awoke and saw it was just after midnight. In the middle of the night Shelly felt a weight on her feet. It seemed too light to be Buster. A little groggy she turned on her flash light and saw, sitting on her feet, the doll. Shelly gasped and pulled her feet up under her. The doll fell down with a soft thump still smiling it's creepy little doll smile. She took the doll by the arm and removed the price tag,dropped it into the "Free" box in the garage, and went back to sleep. The next morning Shelly made breakfast as Ghram began first watch. A few hagglers came by, and Ghram was ready for them. No one could talke their way to a bargain better than Ghram, and she loved every minute of it. A few people came by, most just looked and said nothing while Ghram read her romance novel. Then Shelly took over watch. A little girl and her mother came by, and the little girl told her mommy everything she wanted. "Don't you have enough things already?" Little girls never seem to think they have enough. They bought a few toys and left. Shelly noticed a man who'd stopped start examining the doll in the free box. "Do you know what this is?" he asked, "It's actually quite rare." Shelly shrugged and replied "It's in the free box, if you want it you can have it." The man looked at the smiling plastic face of the toy "Oh, but you see this is a death doll. When a child dies, they use it's real hair and eyelashes to make the doll. Then they dress it in the childs clothes. You couldn't pay me to take this thing." With that the man dropped the doll and walked away.
