Description
A little sketch I did tonight of Melkor, the original Dark Lord, and Ungoliant, the Mother of All Spiders, on the green hill of Ezellohar in Valinor, after Melkor gored both trees with his spear, piercing them to the core and letting the ever-greedy Ungoliant suck up the sap and suck the life out of the trees. I have been reading The Silmarillion a lot lately, for the second time in my life and I am enjoying it tremendously! This scene, albeit rather crudely drawn I admit, is nonetheless expressive, and I like the quick, sketchy look of digital airbrushes. Maybe I can draw better versions of this and other images that come to my mind later.
