Description
This story was about one of the main characters of the epos Kalevala - Lemminkäinen, a powerful sorcerer and a carefree guy who often challenged fate. However, fate was rarely favorable to him - according to one of his assignments, Lemminkäinen had to get a sacred bird - a swan - from the afterlife kingdom. Beautiful details, colour choices and composition - particularly how you've angled it to show both above and below the water surface.

It's all fun swimming until you feel something brush against your leg. But in all seriousness this is an excellent piece the snake looks very ominous as it raises its head from the water to punish its victim but its underwater home looks very tranquil.
