Description Thank you so very much everyone for your kind support throughout each part of this project. I am very much appreciative of all that you do always to give me encouragement along the way and most of all your kind friendship

This is the final render of my Ukulele at the end of the 4th tutorial video. It was very challenging to do and I learned a great deal with the 4 parts of this project. I positioned my version differently as I wanted to show that there are now 4 tuner boxes with knobs in a varying positions to make it more realistic. You can still see the knotted strings from at the bottom part of the bridge all the way to the other end to the winding ones on each tuner post. I also chose a slightly different color for the background.
I hope you like the results.

This 4 part video series demonstrates how to use Blender to make a ukulele. This ukulele has a lot of different parts so a lot of modeling is demonstrated. Blender version 2.77a was used for this tutorial. This video shows techniques that may be helpful to beginners and intermediate users.

I used Blender 2.79B version for my work so far it has worked o.k. without too many issues.

Your work is stupefying by its degree of achievement, the attention to details, the quality of the textures... I could've sworn it was a real instrument, and it reminds me of the music made with this Hawaiian invention, the heavenly music of an earthly paradise...

Gilles for your encouraging words. Without the help of the amazing videos shared for us to learn I would not have been able to complete this difficult work. I love the very detailed work and at present I have moved on to the latest version of Blender 2.8. The whole thing is very different for me to maneuver but I am learning bit by bit. I have several models already made but still need to learn how to finish the work to it's full render. It is a leaning curve to say the least but I am determined to continue. Thank you very much for the fave as well

You are more than welcome dear Denyse. Blender v2.8 sounds great indeed. I used a lot Blender some years ago, and I guess it has very much evolved since then. I had implemented a graphical library for custom materials in Python, it was quite fun to do and useful. Obviously you have the frame of mind, the skills and the experience to master the new UI eventually, and surely you'll do great things, I look forward to see them! Happy learning!...

I will do my very best not to disappoint you dear,Gilles. It is quite a learning curve because it is so very different and with the dark theme background and white letters and that is very hard on my vision but I suppose that is the trend now. Have a lovely rest of your day and thank you again for your very kind support.

g017 In reply to awesome43 [2019-09-03 07:25:51 +0000 UTC]

Ah that's no luck, because dark themes are meant to relieve the eyes, I personally do use UI dark themes to code, model or paint. But the Blender's light theme doesn't suit you either? In that case there are other themes available for download on the net, didn't you try some of these? Anytime for you dear Denyse, have a nice day too

awesome43 In reply to g017 [2019-09-03 15:36:34 +0000 UTC]

I will have to get use to them as they are everywhere now the dark themes with the white letters. The white theme is extremely bright so it is actually worst. My eyes are extremely sensitive since my cataract surgeries. I like the green colors like here on Classic DA. it does not seem to bother my vision. I am not much about downloading things, dear Gilles because I do not understand how computers work and I fear issues that I would not be able to fix. For Blender 2.8 I was so very nervous the whole time it was downloading but it did find Have a wonderful day as weill and much happiness in your life

g017 In reply to awesome43 [2019-09-03 20:04:54 +0000 UTC]

I see what you mean.. Now since you use Blender a lot maybe you could make an exception and try to download themes that could suit you, there are risks of getting viruses with program, audio, video or image files (especially with hacked or illegal copies) but usually themes consist of simple text files so it should be safe (especially if the download URL starts with https -- instead of http -- it means that it is a secure site). But this is a mere suggestion, I wouldn't want you get in trouble because of me I wish you a good time ahead dear Denyse, and may you be happy and healthy

Thank you dear Gilles I will try to get use to what I have because for me I just have no one to help me if something goes wrong so I am very very reluctant. Blender was already in my computer so updating is I did not worry would cause such issues. Thank you for taking the time to tell me your suggestions. I really do appreciate it maybe if someone comes here I can get them to help me though. Have a blessed day, dear Gilles as well.

my dear friend, Chas for your kind encouraging words. I am thrilled you like the final render. It was quite challenging to complete but very rewarding at the same time to remember a bit more of Blender tools etc... as I worked through the 4 tutorials. Thank you for the fave and most of all

You're most welcome, dear Denyse ~ this is an admirable piece of work! I can imagine a lot of thought went into it... like I said, I tried Blender for a little while but I just didn't have the patience for it... keep up the momentum, and keep us hungrier for more!

Well I just downloaded the latest 2.8 version and it is going to be a whopper of a learning curve to say the least. I made the decision that being frustrated as I was doing this project with constant glitches of incompatibility even starting from scratch was misguided. As much as I wanted to finish my older wips that took months to achieve to almost being completed would really hurt me in the end. Honing my skills for and old version is not the right way to go. So I bit the bullet so to speak and hopefully will learn how this latest version works so that I can continue. There really is no turning back for me. I am determined to get something in progress very soon. In the meantime, I can do other things while I am learning to add to my gallery such as photos etc.... Thank you once again for your kind encouragement along the way. It means so very much to me.

I know you will impress us with more amazing creations ~ and I agree; go with the latest version...you'll not only get the practice you need but the peace of mind where the finished product is revealed ~
