Description ok, so in history class we were talking about the world of war of 2. and how germany invaded poland.. but polands army was... lacking. they rode on horses and carried spears...against bombs, tanks, and airplanes.
anywho, it reminded me of hetalia, and how poland has a pony, and how his military is lacking. so this is a picture that i drew in history. XD i like it.

Freakn' edit ur face

Spears and horses against tanks in the II WW...If you have got this info from your teacher, then he/she must be a quite badly educated person, naive enough to believe in such things...It was a myth created by Nazi Germany's propaganda.

Sorry, maybe I have overreacted . But thank you for emphasizing (in the description under the picture) that this is a joke: such stupid myths spread over the world very easily (the same situation has happened with Russians and faucet - it's also a myth) and some naive people can REALLY believe in them.

Hmmm...I was just reading some of the other comments here, and as for Poland attacking with spears and horses I don't know at the time of writing this how true that was ( too lazy to go look it up right now....xD ). But whatever the Polish army did, it apparently wasn't very effective judging from the outcome.

XD good point good point. i'm pretty sure the ENTIRE polish army didnt attack with spears and horses. i'm sure there was a few villages, or towns that only had those weapons. but anywho, i really dont care whats true or not. XD this whole thing is more hillarious than it should be.

Sorry, but I must disagree with this. In fact what you discussed abuot was later known as myth prepared by Nazi propaganda. In fact, there are several myths like this one.
"Myth: The Polish Army fought German tanks with horse-mounted cavalry wielding lances and swords.
Polish cavalry never charged German tanks or entrenched infantry or artillery, but usually acted as mobile infantry (like dragoons) and reconnaissance units and executed cavalry charges only in rare situations against foot soldiers. Other armies (including German and Soviet) also fielded and extensively used elite horse cavalry units at that time. Polish cavalry consisted of eleven brigades, as emphasized by its military doctrine, equipped with anti tank rifles "UR" and light artillery such as the highly effective Bofors 37 mm antitank gun. The myth originated from a German propaganda portrayal of the battle of Krojanty, where a Polish cavalry brigade was fired upon in ambush by hidden armored vehicles, after it had mounted a sabre-charge against German infantry."

You can find the rest here: [link]

Of course, I don't mean to offend you, nor attack you in any way : ) I just wanted to inform.
And apart from that - I like the picture itself, and I find it pretty funny^^ To be honest, if it wasn't for the description in the author's note, I wouldn't say anything^^

SPEARS?! They didn't attack with spears! O_O And about those horses..it happened during WWI, and it wasn't really that stupid - they used horses against tanks because of terrain - for the tank, it was too....muddy? and couldn't move, when horses didn't have problem like that, and the battle was 0:1 for Polish army
Anyway, in hetalia context, it's just hilarious

I really like how you added the rainbow and sparkles, by the way. It really hints at maybe a wee bit too much optimism on the part of Poland. xD

I know...Hetalia's Poland was originally supposed to be a girl, but they changed that at some point in early production and decided instead to just go with making him a girly male. I'm not really sure why: after all, there is pronounced lack of females in Hetalia ( although some males, like Lithuania, look SO MUCH like females that I can't think of them as being male ).

I'm not a history buff, but I seem to remember reading that around that time period Poland had plenty of chances to act before things turned hairy and didn't. It reminds me a little of Aesop's Fable "The Ant and the Grasshopper" where the ants are preparing for the worst and the grasshopper is just wasting his time, not really thinking about the future.
