I'm pretty sure it's Van Hohenheim...some translations spell Van-Von or Hohenheim-Hoenheim.

...Von is German....It's means sir. And it can be pronounced Van. But, it's not Japaneses.

I meant that, since Japanese uses a different alphabet, how the kanji (Japanese letters) are spelled in romaji (the Latin alphabet used by English), can differ according to the translator. Hiromu Arakawa used European names, but I've seen more than one spelling of almost every character's name when in romaji. I've always used the Brotherhood eyecatches to decide which spelling to use. It's about as close to a canon English spelling as there is.
