I really like Vanilla *__* And I mean really. She's just so lovely, ah! And I always liked her desing.I kind of ran out of time with this one. Would have wanted to put more finishing touches to it. But I guess it's fine enough to submit :>

The look she has here..... to me it says that she has seen some horrid things. She could be worried or concerned given her disposition, but it's much more interesting to wonder if some ill gotten past events have invaded her thoughts. Did she lose her family? Was there something that happened that shook her to the core? Does she know something important that others don't? She's always seemed to be the perfect type of character to explore the past as she is one of the few adults in the series. In short, good prequel material!

I like the look of the brush strokes. It's unfortunate that digital art nowadays tends to lack that traditional brush-stroke look.
It's an excellent depiction of Vanilla, and merits a second look because it makes Vanilla more dynamic of a character than usually depicted. Vanilla is almost always shown with a smile on her face, and to show a look of worry or pensiveness expands the persona.

That is the thing with speedpaints. You have to experiment with simplicity if you want something to stand out.
