I have this Bratz movie that I've had since I was a girl and the end result of their prom outfits have always rubbed me the wrong way. And not just because I didn't like any of their dresses. Now, that I've experienced prom myself and have leveled up in life experience(including art), I know exactly why that is. Their dresses have no accessories and little to no flash, their hair and make up is the exact same as always, non of them are wearing a corsage, two of them are simply wearing a belly-top and a long skirt, and upon closer inspection when you can see a little bit of their feet they all look to be wearing the same black shoes. For a brand whose characters' motto/slogan is "Passion for Fashion" this is shameful. Hence why I finally took a moment to do a quick sketch to add some differences to their look. Especially the hair.
Jade kept claiming she wanted to make a splash with her prom outfit and yet...she didn't. Yeah sure the op part of her dress being fuzzy was different but...she added nothing else to give her lil flare and style to make it more...just more? Really. Tweaking her hairstyle and adding accessories was the least that could have been done.
