Yea Cleopatra wasn't ancient Egypt, in her time Egypt was a minor power that ended up being annexed by Rome, but that was partly because she ended up banging the wrong horse, but who can blame her? Antonio is so much cooler than Octavio

This a fact that I've been remember since high school.
Cleopatra's life is chronologically closer to the release of the first Iphone than the built of theΒ Great Pyramid of Giza of something like that. π

I'm always amused by how so few people realize just how long ancient Egypt existed and how comparatively recent Cleopatra is.
