I'm not gonna lie. I'm not in the mood for this right now. At first I had written a very harsh reply until I remembered I hate being an asshole to people who actually means well, so I changed my reply.
I didn't purposely made Grenda thinner. I messed up. Artists get stuff wrong too. And we notice our mistakes better than anyone else. For example, she's supposed to be taller too, but no one points that out.
I drew her again but only submitted the drawing on tumblr and I tried to give her a more accurate body size. I guess since no one complained on that one I did a better job? If I had wanted Grenda to be thinner I would have blantanly drawn her skinny.
People often forget some of us do art just for fun, and getting accused of stuff like this is very awful and takes the fun out of it.

I'm so sorry, I didn't mean to offend you! I understand that you did not do this on purpose. I draw as well and although I would not call myself an artist (out of shame, I do not deserve the title), I realize that it is natural to make mistakes while drawing. So again, I apologise.

No, you don't have to apologize. I know you weren't being mean or rude (and I was very upset over another irl problem). I'm sorry. It's just some people drive me and many other artists crazy! I see the importance of protecting representation. But not everyone is secretly trying to take that representation away.
Grenda is an amazing character. She's perfect the way she is.

Te adoro. Es insoportable que por uno probar cosas e el estilo de uno o por lo que hace lo estén acusando de estar en contar de algo. Me pasa mucho con las parejas que shippeo en el fandom de SU ... te dicen que sos homofóbico si shippeas a un personaje que todo el fandom considera gay (Pearl, por ejemplo, que lesrecuerdo ES UNA ROCA ESPACIAL, NO TIENEN SEXO COMO NOSOTROS) con un humano hombre. Dios, por shipear a una cosa, no necesariamente te pone en contra de la otra, maduren.
(Y eso que reconozco que Pearl esta enamorada de Rose...)

Sí, algunas personas usan problemas reales (racismo, homofobia, transfobia, misoginia...) para forzarte a que dejes de shipear algo, o shipees otra cosa, o veas a un personaje de un modo o de otro, o simplemente apoyes algún headcanon. Esa es la parte de todo fandom que en verdad me molesta, y siempre trato de mantenerme alejada de eso. Gracias por el apoyo, y no dejes que te desanimen. Todos deberíamos ser libres de disfrutar de un show/libro/película a nuestra manera.
