Hazel-rah, from Richard Adams' wonderful novel, Watership Down.

"He looked as though he knew how to take care of himself, there was a shrewd, bouyant air about him as he sat up, looked round and rubbed both front paws over his nose. As soon as he was satisfied that all was well, he laid back his ears and set to work on the grass."

Very nice! I like the colors you chose...very peaceful. I am curious, why did you decide to have the whole background green instead of having a blue start at the horizon line? Don't worry I'm not saying the choice you made looks bad, I'm just curious.

Thanks very much I appreciate it. And you know, I didn't do that because I didn't think of it. I started it out originally as a flat green background, but it looked a bit bland so that's why I added the details, didn't even think about blending a sky in... nice idea though.

I really like the simplicity of lines you used behind Hazel...If you do end up blending a sky, it should be a gradiantion from green to blue...have you ever seen the sky in England or Us prairies? the atomsphere gives a really subtle difference between sky and earth.
