So, I was planning on surprising my sister with a nice picture of pretty Sirius as a print on her birthday (which was yesterday)! For some reason, the sketch turned out all sinister. o.o So I decided to scrap this and give her something else for her birthday... it's not the type of picture she would like!--->SPOILER WARNING!!
rant! I'm scared of the OotP movie!! >.< It'll all be about Cho and Harry 's first kiss anyways! Sirius will appear for 5 minutes in the beginning and then get killed in the last 5 minutes of the movie. =_= I don't want to see that. gah. (I'm starting to wonder why JKR introduced Sirius in the first place when all she was going to do later was to decide that he was too much of a weak spot for Harry and kill him off. *is frustrated*)

Sirius Black is one of my all time fave harry potter characters the others being Severus Snape, Harry, Hermione, Luna, Bellatrix, Molly Weasley and Dobby....the list goes on really! lol
I didnt like how Jo killed Sirius off in the end, I know logically you know why she did it to take away another bit of Harry's innocence and the closest thing he had to a father, it was just shocking!! I hate how he had to die, I reckon Harry would have still been able to do what he did in the final battle with Voldemort even if Sirius was alive or dead, yknow??

This is a good piece of art- no, I think she introduced Sirius to explain why Harry's parents died, and also it shows how much Harry loses on the way to defeating Voldemort- how much Voldemort took away from him.

I imagine Sirius a little differently...this portrait reminds me a little too much of the Godchild manga series (fantastic series, love it, but doesn't fit Sirius in my head)...but I love your art style! I think she did it because as a single mother, she had to kill off all the good "father figures" for Harry. Some sort of weird psychological payback in her books. Just a thought lol. But I totally agree. I thought Sirius was super interesting and was so disappointed in his lack of use.
