I've already submitted this pic before [link] but I wanted to upload this in sepia too coz it turned out so well. I think this is among the best pictures I have taken.

EDIT: I am going to enter this in the 'Journey' contest so I will tell the story of how I came to take this picture again, as explained in the colour version of this pic I posted before...

It was the second day of the journey I took to Thulhaadhoo island in Maldives in order to find the truth about a 'miracle working' child who was healing people there -- but that is another story.

I remarked to my colleague who had gone on the trip with me, that the curious thing about the island was the fact that we had not come across even one pretty or beautiful girl on the whole island. He agreed and then half an hour later, while conducting an interview, this girl (she couldn't have been older than 6) came around trying to fly a colourful kite and proved us wrong.

I tried to include the rainbow coloured kite in the picture but it was difficult since I also wanted a closeup of her face. Eventually after three blurred shots, she stood still long enough for me to snap this off. She is going to grow up to be a heart-breaker. A picture like this and the chance to find the truth about a 'miracle' worker; this was one journey that I will never forget.
