There she stood, in the cold evening light...
They all thought she was crazy, practising the violin. But she didn't listen to them. Every night she'd go up on the rooftops, playing, singing, feeling the harmony of her music. Up there you can let your feelings roam free and let the wind carry the colors of your music.
Some loved and admired her, many however envied her and despised her,but she wouldn't let anything get in the way of her and her music, her own music was her one passion and path in life.
She was alone. She was strong. She was beautiful. She...

this may sound weird but... I did the lighting with the 20D
I can't afford a real offcamera flash setup, but since I have 2 camera bodies I thought of trying slow flash sync one evening when I was with in a local park, the results were impresive but some of the images came out blurry (with one camera I took the photo and with the other triggered its on board flash)
what you see here is a slightly improved version of that, placed on a tripod, I exposed with the 450D for that awesome sunset and lit her up with the on board flash of the 20D
in essence, if you have another camera body you can do more or less what you see here (you can give the oncamera flash more power by amping it to +1,+2, etc)
this was shot raw, the sky part is at 0 EV, the rest is at +2 EV, so it's kind of a pseudo-hdr
anyway, enough with the technical details, experiment and just have fun

ideea e interesanta, but:
* camera e prea sus sau prea jos, ai orizontu pe mijloc; io m-as fi dus mai aproape (si probabil cu camera mai jos), sa arate mai... eroic
* poate prindea bine un carton pus sub blitz (si blitzu coborat), sa n-ajunga lumina pe jos
tre sa incerc si io o manevra de genul, cand oi invata sa aburesc fete sa-mi pozeze

ma... au fost trase oarecum pe fuga si prima oara cand incerc off-camera flash "artistic" (a se intelege poze cu o fata in cadru) asadar compozitia poate ca nu e super sexy, dar per total mi se pare ok

Gata, m-am prins, 20D pe post de blitz extern, sincronizare din vorba, improvizatie, creativitate=
Am facut si eu ceva de genu odata, noaptea, expunere lunga si mai multe blitz-uri date de pe alta camera ca sa iasa efect de-ala cu 15 oameni in poza, desi eram doar 2 la pozat!
