We pass each other,

We glance each other,

Day by day,
We repeat the ritual,

Day by day.

This represents the thought i'm always having How we pass complete strangers each day without properly considering who they are. Nice shot

Those thoughts are partly the reason for the execution of the piece.

Thank you;

It was well worth the 'stunt' act to pull off the shot. Yep, leaning over the edge of a high rise building waiting for the right moment.

Its like the Abbey Road album cover from above - great shot, I love the use of light and the way the people are positioned on the edge of the shadow is justy wonderful

The patchlike quality of the paint on the ground...it's smooth strokes, have been brought out really well against the grain of the street itself. The two combined make the street seem older and well aged...bowing to the pedestrians and cars that roll over it.

You give me fears of dropped cameras with these kinda shots - how far did you have to lean over?

finally, you got real lucky with the angle of the shadow/highlight area...it works well with the horizontal framework, cutting the action and image into a kind of 60/40 split of light and dark...

Thank you, Glad you like the detail of the ground highlighting its textures being 'abused' by daily life. But hey that's their job.

The angle was achived thru the same floor where i did the [link] Cept this time I had to lean a near 45Degree. I was walking at that zebra crossing b4 i did this shot and I knew I just had to rush up to do it, the point came where the man pushing the boxes was totally out of being 'in line' somehow he became a point of interest too.

Glad you like the composition for this piece, took me some time to find the right reading and choice of light attention to highlight the shadows.

excellent contrast shown in this shot. I like how the shadows are captured to be part of the composition. Element of surprise was there when I saw the actual shot as compared to what I saw in my thumbnail Good shot.

again excellent lighting. with all the people running around i think its in the morning. bw is good in streetshots, so i like it. the motif is very very nice, the sharpness is good. i think the whole is is too framed. the upper right is the center of the viewers attention and there is nothing really important for the pic itself, so a more open view would have been better. the angle would be okay then. or, if you really only want to show up "crossroads", you arent supposed to show anything else. its the wrong angle then, and you have to photograph it straigt down or work on it with the computer.
in technical terms its not as good as your other work, but i really like it.

It's actually in the late afternoon bout 4ish. There wasn't much color play and I strictly wanted this to be in noir.

The whole idea behind this shot to me was to give and 'overlooked' feel of how we do things day by day.
How sometimes we can be so caught up in our own life we don't take notice of the people passing by and just for a moment wodner if they had a good or bad day.

So I chose the top of the view capture (was risky but I'm alive to post it). The way there don't seem to be a main subject at all cept for the static (the zebra crossing) poses the constant in contrast to us humans doing our daily ritual yet not conforming to one certain direction.

The whole idea behind the title on why I chose crossroads is actually a sattire or more of a defiant approach to showcase the overall purpose of this shot. The roads (path) we take tend to cross one of another'sA personal quote I made.

PS: I'm sorry if my work soemtimes isn't as good as the others. Soemtimes it's hard to mantain a certain level of expectations i make up ofr them. I hope so.

Thank you for your comment and criticism, greatly appreciated.
Cheers
