haha i think for me it's the exact opposite. xD
I can't really do cell-shading, it always gets wobbly-ish and ugly.
I mostly do smooth and paint-ish shading

Really? Cell shading is pretty easy for me, I just have a bad habit doing it from the same direction every time. xD Whenever I try smooth shading it looks like a blurry blob. o-o If it looks wobby, maybe you could mess around with brush settings and see if you can make it better.

I usually make the light come from the upper left corner.
I don't really know why it just comes autmatically xD

I do it from that direction if it the character is facing left and top right if they're facing left. xD
