Light battles shadowan eternity of war
humanity's trap
a soul torn both directions
rise above or fall below
the light of gods love
filling the devout with joy
full of divine light
feeling god's grace within me
pure of mind, body, and soul
my veins black blood flows
walking the path of darkness
and vile corruption
I walk with daemons in grace
whisper secrets in young ears
Our lord all mighty
I thank thee for all my gifts
Your love gives me strength
I fear no daemon in hell
for I walk the rightous path.

I bring you a painful truth
your false faiths will burn
offer your soul to hellfire

All serpents speak lies

Azuriem forgot to mention that we WON the Tanka/Renga section of the Bardic Comp with this peice, and we were also asked to perform it at O.O's (Short for his SCA name whick I can't pronounce) Church for which he is the minister (or other appropriate title).
It was hot, and we got much props for it.
