[Original Universe stuff]

It's 2806 and Mankind have finally reach another planet that doesn't require a spacesuit to breath on its surface.
That progress was made possibe by the union of all the nations of the world under the Eternian Federation in 2776, and the invention of the W.A.R.P , a technological device that makes possible the FTL travel (even if some pictures of the planet were taken by conventional probes way before the XXIXth century).

Proxima b is a tiddly locked planet (1.3*Earth mass) apparently the only planet of its system orbiting the red dwarf Proxima Centauri C orbiting the proxima A&B barycenter, 4 light years away from Earth.
The landing site is a hot savanna like plain rather far from the frozen dark side of the planet.

Proxima b is the 55th state of the Eternian Federation and the 2nd planetary state (terraformed Mars became the first in 2556 ) In 2806 Mankind is now distributed between 3 planets.

(please note that the planet is suitable for life in my Original Universe but there is no evidence that It actually is in the real Universe)
