Well this is my first critique, so it may not be the greatest
^ u ^;;
But, I don't understand what people see wrong with it. (Referring to the other two critiques of course) She is supposed to be a chibi, meaning she's supposed to look three or four. And as for her clothes, I like those too. The other system characters are also in similar outfits, so she fits in perfect.
Okay, now time for the real critique e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/s… " width="15" height="15" alt="" title=" (Smile)"/>
I really love the overall style and character concept!! She has a bit of sketchy style to her, which is super cute. And the blue and black colour scheme fit perfect! Man, I can't wait to get a 3DS, they seem so cool e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/s… " width="15" height="15" alt="" title=" (Smile)"/> I only gave three stars for originality because I think the 'cute' loli chibi girl is a bit overused for game system characters (I hope that doesn't sound rude > <) But I just love how everything just blends in, so for technique I don't think you could get any more spot on e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/s… " width="15" height="15" alt="" title=" (Smile)"/>!! Same goes for impact, she looks so cute!! e.deviantart.net/emoticons/b/b… " width="15" height="15" alt="" title=" (Big Grin)"/>

What I really like about this piece is her head. The bulk of your effort clearly went into her head and face. I love the expression you gave her! She's got the perfect hairstyle to complement her face, and the barrettes are original and resemble those little building blocks with letters on them. She looks like the toddler version of Hatsune Miku, and it's quite adorable!
What I don't like about this piece is that she's so adorable, she's so innocent, and you wreck that with the body of a teenager. As a Kinesiology major, I can't begin to tell you how inappropriately inaccurate this is. Not only that, but she's dressed like a hooker. She looks like she's supposed to be about 3 years old, maybe a tad older, but she's thrusting out her nonexistent breasts as if to attract men. To be quite frank, this makes you look like a pedophile. I don't agree with portrayals of women in manners like this, but to portray a child in this manner is absolutely inexcusable, especially coming from a male.
My advice for future improvement is to study human anatomy and development. For your younger subjects, give them the body of a young subject (i.e. flat chest, pot belly, large head, fat legs with the toes pointing inward, etc.) and for goodness' sake man, give them some clothes! This piece promotes some very disturbing portrayals of children as well as totally depraved fetishes, and it doesn't belong on an art site.

...You know it's supposed to be a chibi, right? Chibi is a style where a character is drawn with an unusually large head, however the character represented is often much older so they may have qualities in their body that represent their actual age. I don't think this piece is supposed to be a child, it's just a style. And I'm not really sure why you say that women look up to men as role models, I don't think that is true for most people.

I understand the chibi style, but when I see a lack of breasts and other features that would distinguish her as an adult character, it makes me wonder. A large head is fine; I love her head! It's the body that doesn't seem to jive with the style.

I know I didn't say it very, um... concisely. I'd be alright with it if its body didn't look like a little girl starting puberty, ya know? The head and body really conflict to me.

Why is it "especially" inexcusable coming from a man?

It's inexcusable for anyone to do it, but the way I see it, men are supposed to be leaders. Men are natural leaders, and many people are more likely to follow a man than a woman. As a woman, I look to men to lead me in a generally-upstanding direction. What kind of leader basically says it's OK to portray children (or people in general for that matter) as sexual objects? And what kind of example are you setting for other men, specifically younger men, who are looking for someone to emulate? Of course, when I say "you," I mean the general sense.
Whether we mean to or not, we lead others with our actions: what we emphasize, what we value, what we live by, and in this case, what we make. Even though many think this is "cute" or even "hot," it's lacking in integrity and common decency. The fact that many see this in that way bothers me, because it demonstrates how people are being led, and therefore what values they're truly developing or not (i.e. integrity, discipline, or the opposites). The problem is much broader than a simple submission on an art site. It's a societal problem that manifests itself in many ways, this being one of them. My logic tells me (it's more or less logical depending on the day) that if someone is leading others on a website by demonstrating that sexual objectification is perfectly fine, then that's the way he leads people in the real world. People like this are usually quite popular, because they encourage us to throw in the towel and indulge our selfish, sinful human nature instead of rising above.
I hope I've answered your question clearly. It's just my take on the way people should conduct themselves, especially men, since I feel they are to be leaders. I'm definitely old-fashioned, but that's OK with me!

Your logic is narrow-sighted and naive, and your values, as far as they are disclosed, are misled and questionable. You embrace preposterous gender roles and a metastatic moral structure.
For instance, your proposition that males' supposedly superior influence automatically makes them more accountable than females. I call bullshit. And accountable for what, the actions of others? You seem to hold the notion that the artist is somehow responsible for adverse effects his or her art may have on its observers, which is ludicrous - both the assignment of blame and the scenario itself.

I will begin my review of this piece by noting the things which initially attracted me to it. I think you did an excellent job on her eyes, I like the hair style & color a lot, and her facial expression is pretty charming. So to be positive, her head is the best part of the drawing. I think you put a reasonable amount of work into it, and quite honestly her face would make a very nice icon for your page.
Now to be negative, her head is BY FAR the best part; I can't figure out what is going on with her body. I can't tell if she's standing, sitting, or braced against a wall attempting to pee (part of that is the lack of supporting objects in the background). The gap between her thighs is so unrealistically large given the distance between her feet, she appears to have a terrible spinal condition, her left leg might as well be dislocated, and the coloring overall is significantly substandard compared to the head.
I'm not so sure what you're going for with this piece, but you might want to study the female anatomy and gain some practice drawing bodies in different perspectives, not to mention the last time I checked, 3 year old girls aren't that anatomically developed. I'm no expert in drawing, but I cannot understand why you're asking for professionally written critiques on this.

I would kinda think that the 3DS would be a more "mature" version of the other DS's, with a bigger chest to emphasize the "3D". XP But this is really cute like always!
