I showd your mermaids to my girls (3 and 5) and they just fell in love with them. We all are huge fans of mermaids for many reasons.
I like all the little details of the painting and yet it still is simple enough.

I paint for a younger audience, chronoligical and mental. I'm very (very!) young at heart and that is what I try to capture while I paint. What I'm really trying to do, starting at EBay, is to make it popular for young girls to collect the mermaid/fairy trading cards like boys collect baseball cards. Little girls like other things besides pokeman. It takes me a long time to paint one because of the workup and detail.
