this is the screenshots of a 3 minute trailer like video art (i dont know what you call this experimental works these days..)which i did in collaboration with my friends in the multimedia fields (aswin and martin, thank you guys
)actually this is their initiative for their class assignment, they broght the concept based on my earlier drawing (i can't put it in here since
it's already a property of martin, maybe i'll borrow it to scan it sometime) of a dark version alice in wonderland..
alice in wonderland has always been my favorite fairy tale, mr caroll i adore you!
and to some extent i always think that it's not as colorful as the disney intrepretation, to me, it's more of a twisted physchological journey of a
young girl...

It;s one of the few "It was all just a dream" stories I really liked. Turning everything out to be a dream, was a plot device used by hack writers to resolve a story beyond resolving. I, myself, used dreams in my tales as brief interludes to shpw psychological states.
In my own fan-fics, Wonderland was an astral realm not visited physically (body stays behind on the material plane). I added parts to it and to Lookinglassland.
North of Wonderland lies Learlnd where Edward Lear's ideas live. Yes, Learlnd. I also added a "Reaver Country" ,the Uncanny Valley, the Tall, the duchess of Poot, the undead Queen of Clubs, Roget the Thesaurus, Wallop-Flump the Privy Seal, and others...

Oh God that's absolutely great! This is my idea of 'wonderland'. As someone said before me it really remembers the beginning of nightmare before christmas, when the gate of Halloween Town are opened. The angry cat on the right is an awesome detail.

Thank you for such a nice comment, as you may have guessed, Tim Burton is downright my inspiration for this one. I love him and probably have watched Nightmare before Christmas for the 1000th times.

You're welcome. I love Burton's 'sketchy' art, it's the most macabre thing I've ever seen. We are all waiting to his 'Alice' version, I suppose!
