Hey everybody! Baconforbreakfast426 here, back again with another deviation!

This is a reference picture for Gold Satin, one of the characters recently introduced in my "MLP" next gen series, Diamond's Dimensional Quests (the quests don't spend much time in the MLP world, hence the quotation marks). She's also the sister of my OC, Diamond Dewdrops, who is the main character of Diamond's Dimensional Quests. The two sisters are super close and will protect each other at any cost, although Diamond Dewdrops is more protective over Goldie (as she calls her) than things are the other way around. While not playing a direct role in the series, she and her family are a huge part of Diamond's life and one of the primary motivations behind her fierce determination to succeed in any quest to any dimension she winds up in, although these dimensional quests are kept a secret from everyone she knows. Little does she know that, sometime in the future, an interdimensional threat will come her way, disturb the peace of her family, and put her and Goldie's bond to the ultimate test.

Age: 19
Talent: Organizing and running events around Ponyville (parties, weddings, funerals, festivals, sacrificial rituals, etc.). She got her cutie mark by organizing her friend's 10th birthday party. Recently, she helped Diamond plan out her speech for the Carousel Boutique fashion contest and helped calm her nerves when she was about to give her speech. Family: Diamond Tiara and Cozy Glow (mothers), Firelight (deceased brother), Diamond Dewdrops (sister), Sugar Rush/Cherry Bomb/Coin Toss (triplet siblings, F/F/M)
Background: There's only five words that sum up Gold Satin's history: the Hurricane Katrina of shitstorms. Things were actually really nice for her up until she turned nine years old. That's when the endless harassment her older brother Firelight faced due to their parents' history pushed him over the edge, and he decided to try and end his own life. Fortunately, she and her younger sister Diamond Dewdrops got home before he got the chance, and the latter managed to convince him to keep going on. Unfortunately, when Diamond threw the gun he was going to use on himself away from him to seal the deal, it hit the wall on its back with such force that it triggered the gun to shoot, killing him anyways via a shot to the head. When her family stumbled upon the scene, everyone thought Diamond, now with a cutie mark of three teardrop gems, had snapped and killed her brother. While Goldie managed to convince the police and her family otherwise, her sister was still sentenced to six years in a mental institution. While all of this was a severe blow to Gold Satin, she managed to push on, and regularly visited her sister in the institution. When she was 11, she gained triplet siblings, two girls and one boy. Once she turned 15, her sister was released from the institution, now bearing a necklace she made from a rainbow gem that appeared in her room, and Goldie thought everything was perfect again. However, no sooner had the two sisters reunited would things go to hell once again.
Nopony in the family brought up Firelight much after his death, as the eldest child of the family was a sore subject. However, what the family didn't know was that this was damaging Diamond's psyche and making her believe that her parents didn't even care about their children, as she bottled this up and didn't share this with anyone. Despite Gold Satin's comfort, Diamond eventually snapped during an important dinner, saying her parents were no worse than when they were villains and shattering her rainbow gem via a superyeet to the wall. The gem's magic, which nopony knew about prior, then proceeded to trap Diamond and dissolve her in midair, along with its fragments. Gold Satin was crushed, and she fell into a depression afterwards, only recovering enough to join the search party for her sister a month after the fact. It was here where she met her first boyfriend who, while verbally abusive, at least helped numb the pain in her pain. However, she realized the true nature of her boyfriend when they got into a huge argument, which pushed him to reveal his true state. In a fit of madness and rage, he teleported him and Goldie to a dark closet in town hall and locked the door. Before Goldie could react, her boyfriend had her pinned to the ground by her wings and shoved a dirty cloth down her clothes, muffling her screams. The glow of his purple magic illuminated the petrification on Goldie's face as he proceeded to sexually assault her and nearly beat her to death. Her parents found her two hours later, but her boyfriend was long gone, and that event had traumatized Gold Satin so much, what was left of her happiness fell away. Shortly after the incident, Gold started cutting herself, hiding her scars under her jacket, and actually remained uncaught until eight months after it started. She was sent to a psychiatric hospital for two weeks, and while it got her out of her self-harm phase, her mind remained unstable after the fact. By this point, she had given up all hope of seeing her favorite sister ever again, and to quell her depression, she went into countless relationships, all of which ending with her finding out how abusive her relationships were and ending them before they resulted in the incident she could never erase from her brain, and which still gives her flashbacks to this day.
However, after months of depression and chaos, something that was nothing short of a miracle happened. After years of searching, Diamond was finally found in an open field, her gem repaired and her hair cut short. For the first time in years, Gold Satin felt true happiness once again. Diamond confessed the emotions swirling around in her head, and her issues with her family were worked, and she used her talent of healing, which she'd finally learned after years of chaos, to help her sister recover from her past. Now, Gold mostly just dates hot guys for fun, with no intentions of getting in a relationship. However, her heart is still easily swayed by the men that surround her. While Diamond does respect her decisions, she does wish her older sister made better decisions about the men she gets in relationships with. The two sisters still have trials come their way, such as Lavender Pearl disintegrating a pony pole-dancing in a public space in the Crystal Empire during Christmas break with her magic by simply focusing her magic and letting it out on him, creating a magical blast and causing her to earn her cutie mark in pyrotechnics and changed her name to Cherry Bomb as a result (Just so you know, I planned that part of DDQ world out long before the Christmas Day Nashville explosion. It has no connection to real life events. I just have rotten luck when it comes to my stories not only connecting with the life events of me and my family, but also predicting events in the real world). However, Gold Satin's now confident she can face anything that comes her way, now that she and Diamond are facing it together.
