It's funny. I'm in my forties now, and when I grew up, it was a hugeΒ deal (no pun intended) to see so much as a side-boob. But now, when we turn on our computers, our browsers are flooded with pictures of naked women performing crude acts, most of them of poor quality and more than a bit disgusting. It's as if the pendulum has swung backward and made that shot of the "side-boob" or good view of dΓ©colletageΒ more erotic than the lewd images we see hourly on the Internet.
I'm certainly no prude, and I enjoy a well done nude (and sex scene), but, to use your work as an example, we don't just see them nude: we see your female characters wearing clothing (clad both scantily and not), we see them wearing armor, we see them fighting and casting spells, and we come to know them as people: they are more than random flesh. And that, I think, is part of the equation when it comes to pulling off tasteful, quality erotica.

I agree completely. I am also in my forties now, so I know exactly what you mean. So little is left to the imagination these days, that it takes all of the magic and mystery away from everything. There is no art without imagination, and the same is true about erotica. Stimulation is as much mental as it is physical, and we are numbing our brains. I think that is why that side-boob shot or that short skirt is so muchΒ more erotic. We have to use our imaginations.

very nice Bravo. What software do you use for this? I've been trying to find a good 3D rendering software

I find this version actually sexier than the first 'R-rated' version. After all, you KNOW the robes are gonna come off. The question here is when? And who will make the first move?

How do you get the nightgown to behave when draping at extreme poses like these? whenever I try it the geometry spazzes out and the draping tool gives me a 'unable to drape' error.
π: 0 β©: 1
Bad-Dragon In reply to Yunners [2010-05-01 18:52:52 +0000 UTC]
I'm not sure what's causing that. What I do is select the cloth in the scene tab, then tell it to "fit to" the figure. Then I have to move the parts around so that the figure is actually inside the clothing - it's really bad with the sleeves for some reason. Then before I drape the cloth, I go into the "collide with" tab and de-select things like hair. For some reason, hair really messes with it.
