my first set of style exploration done in the past week, which one do you like that best?Kaworu(top left): thickly layered semi cel shading combined with some painterly, sharp but flat face(???)+clean, uninfluenced colours + obvious, obnoxious highlight
Shinji(top right): painterly style + soft, slight more realism in the face+ colours heavily influenced by surrounding, looks really soft in general
Rei(bottom left): sparkly soft cel shading+ stylized/sharp-ish looking face+ bright colours, high contrast
Asuka(bottom right): majorly air brushing+ more traditional, old manga looking rounded face+ softer colours

I think it's more of someone's preference as to which style they prefer. Personally, I like the sparkly stuff
