I was always wondering. if you can answer. how do you guys video tape something or use an animation. and then you copy or try to copy the frames from it? do you think you could tell me?

Well, it largely depends what method you're using. Any program you use that would allow you to change the opacity of the frames would allow for easy tracing, and if you're doing it by hand, you could always use a light table.
I used Easytoon for this Lee animation so couldn't really do any tracing. I just looked and the original video footage frame by frame and drew what i saw.
