How lovely ofΒ lunchymunchies to block me because I didn't agree. They seem really happy to send hate but not like it when someone disagrees with it. That last bit might have been uncalled for by me but so is their comment. This is just a fun comic, not something to look so deep into. This is why people hate getting into fandoms, because of haters. Their comment was not needed, especially as there had been previous ones before.
Just in this panel, she seems to have calmed down from her anger and is talking to him. He also isn't acting as the joke here, but a support for her distress.
I am just sick of hate in fandoms, people have their own enjoyments and you shouldn't send hate because it isn't yours. I am just so sick of seeing haters bring down amazing people and force them to stop creating. It makes me sick and always riles me up. Fandoms are to enjoy, don't like it? Then don't read! You do not have to keep reading when it makes you upset, you have no right to send hate. Especially if you can't take it. Just because you are online doesn't make you a big guy or strong, just makes haters more pathetic. So others out there, please respect other's work and don't send hate. If you want to make things better, give suggestions or just talk friendly. Don't send hate, as that will only make people stop creating and then there will be nothing for the fandom you 'love'.

God, fuck Cadence, and fuck this story. So, Shining Armor was raped while he had his free will taken away and cheated? That's not funny; that's just depressing. And when Cadence finds out, she hates Shining Armor and throws him out a window into a wall? She can go to Hell. How does she hold this against him when she knows he was being controlled? Why is she blaming him for someone raping him physically after raping him of his free will? He's the victim here, not her. And then he gets photographed in a humiliating position? Do you hate Shining Armor? Why is this story this repeatedly, over-the-top mean to him? I hate it. Is Cadence going to get any sort of comeuppance for how she treated him, or is she going to get off scot-free because the tone of this story seems to feel like she hasn't done anything wrong? Will Shining Armor have revenge on her? Imagine if the genders were reversed. Imagine if Cadence was raped, and Shining Armor finds out, and his reaction is to grab her and throw her into something? Which is what I think should happen to her after what she did. Do you think anyone would ever do a joke like that or ever think that was funny? If I were Shining Armor, I would actually stop loving her, become physically violent with her, try to get her thrown in prison and sued, and divorce her. He should tell her to go fuck herself and kick her to the curb. Don't care how much she has a change of heart, apologizes, cries, and begs to get back together. She needs to live with this and never have him back.

Please calm down. It is just a concept. I quite like the idea and story, this isn't even mentioning 'Rape' or anything. He also did have free will in that 2 part episode, well most of it. When he would have been 'raped'as most think, he would have free will. But he thought he was doing 'it' to the person he loved, which was Cadence. Sure she didn't have the best reaction but she didn't do the worse. She never said she hated him, just showed anger, which is understandable.
Also, don't send hate to the artist. You are being 'worse than Cadence' in this case. Leave people to enjoy the story, please stay out of it. If it offends you, don't read it. Simple as that. This is a goofy story that I am enjoying. Do you hate the MLP show too? I mean, they were racist with Changelings with Thorax in that episode. Shining Armour was manipulated and abused. Heck, that Chancellor dude in the school seasons was the most Racist with other species and even a little abusive with tying them up. So MLP is just as bad if not worse. Anything can be seen in a bad light. So please, shut the fuck up.Β

I have the right to dislike something and voice my dislike of it. Most people would think of tricking you into thinking you're having sex with someone else as raped. We saw Chrysalis mind control him when he disagreed with her, so I think it's safe to say she was doing it at other points too. I mean, considering how she was completely not acting like Cadence and not recognizing things she should've recognized, I think he would've had to be controlled to not be suspicious.
If becoming enraged and physically assaulting someone isn't hate, I don't know what is. How was her reaction not worse than him at best being tricked into sleeping with someone identical to her? He didn't do anything wrong. What right does she have to be mad at him? Zero. Just imagine if the genders were flipped. Do you think you and others would find it cute and funny and entertaining, or do you think the reaction would be that he was being abusive and unreasonable and that the audience would not find it funny?
This story just keeps dumping on him, and it's depressing, and it's made worse by the fact that he's the fandom's punching bag. When we look at characters are made to do in fanart, they do so many things, but all Shining has is BBBFF stuff and torment. He's constantly getting killed, controlled, raped, hurt, tricked into cheating, and humiliated. If he's in a comedy comic, you already know he's probably gonna be the punchline like
how in The Simpsons, if they show Milhouse or Ralph, you know it's probably gonna
do a Milhouse/Ralph joke because it's mostly the only reason they ever use
those characters. Sure, it happens to all the characters, but proportionately, it happens to him the most by far. I hate characters who exist to be abused like Meg and Squidward, and in the fandom, Shining's purpose is to be the butt of the joke. To lose. To be humiliated. To get hurt. To die. The overwhelming majority of my experiences with this character have been negative, and it reaches a point where it just gets depressing. And this has been 1 of the worst instances I've ever seen, 2nd only to Tale of Twilight. Give the guy a break. Let him look good. Let him come out on top. Over time, his never ending torrent of abuse and humiliation has actually made me hate the character and wish he never existed because I'm sick of seeing him constantly get shit on.

Well, it likely would have been consensual since it happened when Chrysalis was pretending to be Cadence. So at this point in the comic, Shining Armor and the real Cadence haven't been married for very long. Sooo, you're right. Chrysalis did trick him somehow, and that somehow is canon. The fanfiction writers just assume that Shining and Cadence already had a sexual relationship before they married.

Thank you for clearing that up. I was not sure I did it justice in the first place. This concept is not my area of expertise. Now the moral aspect that you bring up I understand. If Chrysalis tricking Shining into sex for obvious reasons was canon (but probably not since this is a children's show and the image of Shining Armor and Cadence as the perfect fairy tale couple would be irrevocably marred), she would most certainly be acting inappropriately. On the other hand, this would add to her image as the villainess that took advantage of the innocent ponies, just in more ways than is appropriately visible by the end of the story arc.
