Alice, the last month here has been miserable. The 4th hottest August on record and dry...very dry. We've had rain the last 2 days for the first time in ages, even the weeds were starting to wilt. I'm looking forward to some cooler weather though not so much winter weather.

And we have had a miserable summer really, but I have to say, not too hot. Previous years the first two weeks of August have been unbearable, but this year was ok. That at least, I am grateful for.
Its the long nights I dislike really, but I remember last years frosty mornings and I quite liked those.
