To my knowledge this is one of the last remaining pay phones in my area. I am old enough to remember the days of riding my bike to the library, and then to let my parents know I was still alive after getting lost in the stacks of books, I would call them collect, tell them in the "who is this" 5 second recording, I was ok and ill be home soon, before hanging up so they wouldnt get a bunch of charges.

Unfortuantely this phone doesnt work anymore, as it really has no need to with the ubiquity of cell phones, it still remains as a relic of a bygone era that, at least from my perspective, feels like not that long ago.
