A project I finished not so long ago, since I finally have the time to draw again.
"She is a Firebird. The Firebird of Slavic folklore is a mythological bird seen as a personification of the sun, light and fire in various myths and legends. The Firebird is said to die every autumn and be reborn in the spring. The Firebird has its nest in the World Tree and eats golden apples, giving her youth, beauty and immortality. The singing of the Firebird heals the sick and restores the sight to te blind."

Thank you! The Firebird's tail does look like the peacock's feathers on all the references I could find, so I tried to incorporate it in the dress. I imagined the dress would look like a tail if she would be flying. (:

Idk it's information I found about the firebird on the internet. But hey, she's reborn every spring so she kinda is immortal in a way.

Thank you! And no worries, despite the chain around her ankle, she is still free to fly and go wherever she likes. Also the reason why she's so bubbly and cheerful about it. It's a refernce to a folktale where there were hundreds of firebirds capt in a cave in cages, but each night they flew into the night and stole golden apples from trees anyway. ^^
