I'm not sure what inspired this piece, LM isn't a hugely popular character but I'd been scanning through a few trade paperbacks in my office and thought, "Yeah, that'd be cool." Perhaps it was the barely there outfit? I'm not too ashamed to admit that it's more than likely with me!

I used this as a tutorial piece too as I tried a different tack to my usual approach. Having read tutorial on his marker technique, I thought I would have a crack at using the dark markers first. Of course, this makes you concerned about your light spaces but then again, you can always use the white crayon and white paint to good effect if it ends up being darker than you intended.

I've only just completed the background motif today, hence the delay in putting up the finished article until now. Not totally sure that I'm happy with it but after being stuck in a creative rut for so long I considered it not to be too bad.
