Yay! I finally finished it! This is for the 's Good vs. Bad Senshi Contest.When I first decided to participate in the contest, they needed more bad senshis. So I immediately thought of Sailor Saturn. She makes the most sense of the Sailor Senshi to me to be bad, next to Dark Lady, who never has a senshi outfit. But it didn't hurt that Sailor Saturn is my favorite Sailor Senshi.
This is one of my favorite art pieces that I have done. I am extremely satisfied with it. It doesn't hurt that my favorite color is purple and this piece is just drowning in purple. All of the artwork is purely my own, I used no one else's brushes or borders (except for PS standard brushes).
The border here was made by the use of guides on PS and the pen tool

The shine is very easy to do. First I do a solid coloring of it. Then, with a darker color than the base and a brush with 0% hardness and a fairly large size I do semi-random diagonal strokes. Then with a lighter color than the base, still 0% hardness, but slightly smaller brush, I do diagonal strokes in between the darker ones, but not covering up the first layer of coloring. Then finally with a much smaller brush size, 0% hardness, and white, I do smaller diagonal strokes over top of the lighter coloring.
