It was almost like a game... slipping in and out of each open door in the apartments--facing what danger lurked behind them. These seemed like just small fry, just as long as the wooden plank I found held out.
I ascended the third floor with the adrenaline still pumping in my chest. Each beat of my heart kept my steps in a rhythm and my breathing echoed the halls. I had the key--and I was going to find out what was behind the only locked door in the building.
I sent the key straight into the keyhole. It clicked as I turned, but not without some resistance. The door slowly opened and I could feel my heartbeat in my throat. I walked in, eyes checking every nook and cranny as my flashlight panned the room.
There. I stopped. Standing in the tiny kitchen area stood the very same creature I saw earlier. The red pyramid thing. My neck stiffened and my breathing became frozen. I was too far from the door to make a run and not get chased. I eyed an empty room and took the shelter.
The Pyramid Head looked up from its busywork and scanned the room, stepping towards the room I waited in. A low, stoic growl emanted from his chest.
The main door suddenly swung open and two feral dogs entered the room with bared teeth and hungry snarls.
Pyramd Head took hold of his knife and pushed my door closed, leaving a slight crack. The first feral pounced, biting at his arms as he tried to quickly defend.
I looked through the crack to find a lead pipe sitting beside the door. If only I could reach it... If I tried to fight my way out, I'd either die from which monster got to me first.
I'm trapped...

Freakin... awesome!

I really just had an urge to draw Mr. PH but this story got in my head with it. :3 I kinda rushed on the background and the ferals were very difficult to color for me. I'm not used to creature creating.
