Phenotype : Copper bay. A rich, orange bay, paler at his topline and darkens near his dark points. His dark points are of average length and, like his father, are a definite dark brown, same as his mane and tail, rather than black. The gray around his eyes and muzzle also extends more than usual, as is typical with his father's foals.
Markings : Two hind stockings, off leg’s stocking is high, near his hock. An off fore pastern and a star that leads into an interrupted race down the off side of his head. A large, uneven snip over the front of his muzzle and to both his nostrils.
Scar(s): freeze-brand on near hind-quarter; a few nicks and cuts here and there over his legs; a small scar on his back from where he was bitten once.
A large piece of scar tissue on the front of his barrel on his offside and another behind his withers on his near-side from trying to break out of his pasture when he was 8. Neither have caused any nerve damage and after healing, could be ridden normally.

Physical Appearance:
Adult: Bullet has grown tall and strong, very leanly built with a refined head and bright, expressive eyes. A well crested neck; smoothly jointed to his good, strong shoulder. Wide, muscular legs, clean and strong pastern and thin, straight hind legs. Smooth withers, deep chest, short, broad, well-muscled back and wide, muscular loin. High-set tail, deep, strong quarters and well-defined cannons. He has a very free, long, straight, free walking stride, free-going and collected trot with a smooth, easy canter. His gallop is fast, straight and often seems uncontrolled, but does remain under the guidance of his rider, but they must be willing to let him guide the way and judge when to slow and when to stretch out.
Foal: A very lean colt with extremely strong legs and deep chest in which are a pair of unbelievably strong lungs – he barely needs to stop and catch his breath at any point after belting around the field! His whole body is a little fragile right now and seems a lot like if he does a sudden stop, his legs are gonna snap, but so far he seems steady enough on his feet and strong enough to keep himself from snapping his legs.

Temperament:
Adult: Very proud and assertive, he’s definitely inherited his father’s intelligence since he is extremely smart but also independent. Bullet isn’t quite as sensitive and curious as Sky is, but more easy-going and will accept what’s going on, unless his authority is questioned, at which point he will become strong and will do everything in his power to ignore what he’s been taught.
Foal: Very assertive and proud is what we can judge right now. However, he does have a soft spot for any female horse that comes near to him, and is such a mommy’s boy! I’m dreading the separation of him and Nessie cause he’s gonna cry and cry. I’m pretty sure we’re gonna have to make a couple of trips to Rosendal just to calm him down.

Discipline(s): Was broken as soon as he was strong enough to be a flat racer. We raced him on turf and was best doing medium-length races since his sprint came late but did not quite have an extremely large level of stamina, yet could do both with plenty of success. We then retrained him as a show jumper, dabbling in a little cross-country too. He has coped well with the change in discipline and is now one of BS' competitive jumpers, along with Sky.

General Riding Style: Headstrong and heavy on the bit, very controlling, but also very good at maneuvering on his own and doesn't need a rider to tell him exactly what to do.
Jumping Style: He has a habit of getting horribly under jumps and doing a vertical spring, but far more gracefully than would be envisaged. He plants his feet very firmly half a stride 'too late' and propels himself up and over, flicking his legs out like it was a normal jump and landing perfectly the other side. His rider has to trust him completely not to mess up, otherwise Bullet will most likely refuse and they'll be sent into the jump.
Galloping Style: Reckless. Very strong and stubborn - don't try and stop him. Trust him.
Kind of Rider Needed: Someone who'll be willing to sit back and generally let him do the work. They have to be adaptable, extremely trusting and also ready for whatever he pulls out of the bag.

Richey: “As a racer he was pretty strange, I can tell ya. He would run the whole race on his own, near enough. Just had to sit back and watch out for other horses.”
Grant: “My best friend. I honestly love the guy, even though he's impossible to get on with. Bullet's easy to ride when you let him work independently - you have to be a passenger, despite what most instructors would tell you. Bullet doesn't take orders.”
Strengths: Covering ground quickly, whether it be SJ or XC, time is rarely an issue for him. He's surefooted enough to get round well, and just needs little bits of information from his rider as to what angle to approach e.t.c. Dressage is a discipline we attempted only for a while since it was rapidly figured out that Bullet does not like Dressage one bit!

History:
Original: Born at Rosendal Stables and taken back to Beaumont when he was about six months, with plenty of crying since he loves his Mom.
We got him back and he became fast friends with Dez when they met and they grew up to be even closer and great competitors, although Bullet’s racing blood and natural ability has always placed him slightly better that Dez – even if this is only a fraction of a second – since Dez is a long-distance runner.
He has been trained extremely well as a racer and is going to be in competition soon, and we hope the best for his career.
Updated: Has been re-trained as a show jumper and part-time cross-country horses, and has been paired rather successfully with our Grant. They are now an inseparable pair. He and Dez are still thick as thieves, and is the unofficial uncle of Catch , who seems to use Bullet as a role model. Whytt also idolizes him, but in a far more annoying manner.

History:
Original: Born at Rosendal Stables and taken back to Beaumont when he was about six months, with plenty of crying since he loves his Mom.
We got him back and he became fast friends with Dez when they met and they grew up to be even closer and great competitors, although Bullet’s racing blood and natural ability has always placed him slightly better that Dez – even if this is only a fraction of a second – since Dez is a long-distance runner.
He has been trained extremely well as a racer and is going to be in competition soon, and we hope the best for his career.
Updated: Has been re-trained as a show jumper and part-time cross-country horses, and has been paired rather successfully with our Grant. They are now an inseparable pair. He and Dez are still thick as thieves, and is the unofficial uncle of Catch , who seems to use Bullet as a role model. Whytt also idolizes him, but in a far more annoying manner.

Restrictions: Must be bred to
mares over the age of 5. 15.2hh or taller. No heavy drafts. Realistic breeds. Natural coat-colors (can be out-of-standard for the breed)
Accepted Breeds: Hot-bloods (Arabians/Thoroughbreds), Friesians, Warmbloods/Sport Horses, Iberians (and similar breeds) (Note if you have any queries)
Age is not negotiable. We at BS do not believe a mare younger than 5 is mature enough to cope healthily throughout with gestation, and foaling could be a problem with immature broods.
